Cosa ci muove realmente, al di là dell'aspetto economico?

Stabilito il quadro generale (contesto, concorrenti, dove, incontri), possiamo iniziare a definire la personalità del nostro brand. La prima, fondamentale domanda che dobbiamo farci è: perché? Parliamo di business, l’aspetto economico lo diamo per scontato. Se pensiamo ai brand che “trascinano le folle” — non molti, a dire il vero — è vero che spesso lo fanno grazie ai loro fondatori visionari. Se proviamo ad allargare lo sguardo, il successo —e la tenuta di questo nel tempo— di questi brand è dovuto al fatto che siano riusciti ad identificare un perché, una stella polare che li guidi. Un perché che può aiutarci anche a definire vision e mission.

Per dirla con Simon Sinek: “Le persone non comprano ciò che fai, ma perché lo fai”. Al di là del fatto che non sia più utilizzato, il celebre “Think Different” di Apple è decisamente esemplificativo. Sfidare lo status quo, pensare diverso per assicurare la miglior esperienza agli utenti e cambiare il modo in cui si servono della tecnologia. Non si parla dunque di confronti tecnologici, di una gara a chi ha più funzionalità. Il perché posiziona la marca su un piano diverso.
